Literally, “breaking the ice” means saying something to get people to be more comfortable to talk, but it also means telling the truth about a shadowed aspect, like “breaking the silence.” Ninety percent of an iceberg is below the surface of water. The deeper meaning of an object is far more than what people can see.

Break The Ice is a series of color photographs of multiple hand-made “icebergs". Different shapes “icebergs" are made by aluminum foil sheet. The light cooperates with these geometric forms and reflected surface which look like thousands of mirrors. This creates an unreal feeling of the light flow between them, breaking the ice and thinking about the essence that is hidden under the surface of things.
